Every Elimination Chamber match winner: Where are they now?
The Elimination Chamber match is undoubtedly the most unpredictable match in WWE. Eric Bischoff introduced this match in November 2002 in the wrestling promotion, which was originally the brainchild of Triple H.
The match takes place inside a demonic structure known as the Elimination Chamber. The match usually has 6 participants, with the 2018 Elimination Chamber match, where 7 superstars stepped inside, and the 2015 tag team Elimination Chamber being the only exceptions.
Two superstars start the match, with the other 4 superstars watching from the inside the pods situated at the 4 corners of the ring. This match is a combination of WWE's Hell in a Cell match, Royal Rumble match, Survivor Series match and NXT's WarGames matches.
Earlier, the Elimination Chamber matches used to take place randomly on any big pay-per-view. But, in 2010, WWE introduced a pay-per-view named 'WWE Elimination Chamber' and ever since then, Elimination Chamber matches are exclusive to the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view of 2019 is scheduled for this Sunday and the following two matches will take place inside the Elimination Chamber this year -
- Women's Tag Team Championship (Elimination Chamber): Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Nia Jax & Tamina vs. Riott Squad vs. The IIconics vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs. Naomi & Carmella
- WWE Championship (Elimination Chamber): Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Kofi Kingston
