Ratings for Monday Night's RAW revealed
The recent episode of RAW was quite an exciting affair, featuring appearances from a few fan favourites and a big return, which also resulted in the shooting up of the program’s ratings as compared to last week – reports dailywrestlingnews.com.
Monday’s episode of RAW, which featured the return of Vince McMahon and John Cena, averaged 3.536 million viewers, making it higher than last week’s 3.376 million viewers..
The first hour of RAW saw 3.695 million viewers tune in, with the second hour averaging 3.488 million viewers, while the final hour pulled in 3.425 million viewers..
In terms of ranking, RAW was #3 for the night in viewership behind the NFL on ESPN, which saw 15.806 million viewers tune in, and SportsCenter. RAW managed a #4 place in the 18-49 demographic, which is three sports behind the NFL, SportsCenter and Love & Hip-Hop.
The return of John Cena, who faced and defeated United States Champion Alberto Del Rio, was obviously well received as he had gone on a hiatus for a while to shoot for FOX’s reality show ‘American Grit’.
Cena’s return plus the spike in the show’s ratings sums up a good end to the year for WWE.
