What’s the story?

Finn Balor used to thrill audiences around the globe with his fantastic Demon body paint in a variety of designs before he came to WWE. He will still be The Demon from time to time nowadays, but he recently revealed which body paint design he's always wanted to do but never got the chance.

In case you didn’t know

The Demon character was a staple of Finn Balor's as he toured the world as Prince Devitt. He would wow audiences where ever he performed and tons of people flocked to see what amazing body paint design he would come up with next.

During his run with the body paint, he would take on the appearance of not only comic book characters but horrors that only the most magnificent mind could imagine.

The heart of the matter

Finn Balor's Demon character recently made its first appearance in a year at SummerSlam. Ironically the last time Balor had appeared as The Demon was at the previous year's Biggest Party Of The Summer when he won the Universal Championship. Sadly he had to relinquish that title the next night on Raw, but we'll never forget when The Demon became the first Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2016.

Balor was recently asked about his iconic ring entrance look and Finn Balor revealed something he had never talked about until then. Even though Finn had the chance to portray several amazing looks with his sick body paint, there was still one design he never got to do.

"I was actually going to do it at my very last appearance -- Silver Surfer. I was going to do a Silver Surfer Demon and I thought that was gonna be so badass and I would come out on a Silver Surfer surfboard."

What's next?

Finn Balor doesn't appear as The Demon very often as it is reserved for special matches. But knowing Balor has one more look yet to be checked off on his might indicate the WWE Universe could eventually be treated to an alternate version of The Demon.

If Finn got permission to debut a Silver Surfer Demon at a big show it would result in a great moment that would be remembered as an ultimate career highlight. It would also mean so much more to Finn if he was permitted to put on the makeup he's always want to do.

Author's Take

Whether Finn is The Demon, The Joker, Anit-Venom, or Fonzie he is still one of the most talented WWE Superstars on the roster right now.

Balor might be waiting on the edge of the Universal Title scene at this time but rumors were he was in line to eventually challenge for the Universal Title before WrestleMania 34. We've got a lot of road to the Show Of Shows next year so who knows what kind of big match we'll see The Demon pop up at next and how high the stakes will be. But hopefully, Finn will have plenty more chances to debut the Silver Surfer Demon in the future.
