Finn Balor to split from Judgment Day on RAW; create new stable with long-term friend? Exploring potential swerve
Finn Balor has been pushing The Judgment Day to the limit in recent weeks. The group could finally crack on WWE RAW if Balor and JD McDonagh lose their World Tag Team Championship to The War Raiders.
The Judgment Day might not be able to help them on RAW since Adam Pearce has banned the faction from interfering in the match. What's more interesting is that Balor had no backing at Saturday Night's Main Event, despite him being part of a Triple Threat match that would have allowed interference.
Balor wouldn't be impressed with his stable if they sat in the back and allowed him to lose his championship, despite being banned. Their inaction could lead to the group finally going their separate ways with Balor starting his own stable with JD McDonagh.
The teases have been there for several weeks and the two groups even arrived separately at Saturday Night's Main Event, which could suggest that The Judgment Day will split into two.
Finn Balor is expected to have a singles push in 2025
McDonagh and Balor have been friends since they were youngsters in Ireland and it seems that the two men could continue their on-screen partnership even if The Judgment Day implodes.
McDonagh isn't close to any other members of the group so it makes sense for him to go with Finn Balor whilst Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio continue as a trio. Carlito appears to be in the middle, but the former United States Champion was always an odd addition to the group and only joined to escape his former group after he betrayed Rey Mysterio.
The Judgment Day has been struggling since the summer when Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were kicked out and it seems that Balor has been unable to overcome his obsession with Priest. On the other hand, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley are still part of the same feud more than eight months after Mami was injured following WrestleMania 40.
