First-time ever championship win, feud with hated star? - 4 ways Charlotte Flair can return to WWE following her recent teaseĀ

Charlotte Flair is a legend in WWE despite still being in her 30s. She rose through NXT and went on to become a 14-time World Champion, Money in the Bank winner, Royal Rumble winner, and more.

While she's a future Hall of Famer, Flair is still in the prime of her career. That is why her injury last year was so devastating. The Queen has been absent for around eight months now. Thankfully, she is working hard to recover and eventually return to action.

In regards to a potential comeback, many believe that The Queen was hinting at her impending return ahead of SmackDown last night. Between her intense workouts and hints such as that, there is a real chance that Flair could be returning to the ring soon.

This article will take a look at a handful of ways the former World Champion could come back. This includes uniting with one of the Four Horsewomen, chasing tag team gold, or even trying to win a brand-new title.

Below are four ways Charlotte Flair can return to WWE following her recent tease.

#4. She could return alongside Shotzi and chase the Tag Titles

Shotzi is an underrated WWE Superstar. She held the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles alongside Ember Moon but has otherwise not been able to win a championship.

Prior to Charlotte Flair's injury last year, she was forming a bit of a friendship with the green-haired superstar. In fact, the two were even teaming up at times. Unfortunately, that union was cut short due to Charlotte's untimely injury. Shortly thereafter, Shotzi also got hurt and had to take a hiatus.

Supposing Shotzi is also cleared to compete whenever Flair does return, the two could make a comeback together. From there, they could challenge Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. This would give Flair another title win and grant Shotzi her first main roster championship.

#3. Flair could challenge Nia Jax

Nia Jax has had quite the career comeback. Despite being a former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion and RAW Women's Champion, Jax once had a bad reputation among fans of the industry. Since her return, however, The Irresistible Force has managed to fix her reputation.

Jax has had quite the 2024. She headlined Elimination Chamber Perth, won the 2024 Queen of the Ring Tournament, and then defeated Bayley to win the WWE Women's Title at SummerSlam.

Now that Jax is the World Champion, she will need new opposition. Charlotte Flair could return and take Nia on for the belt. This iteration of the title is one Charlotte is yet to win and she would no doubt like to become a 15-time World Champion. Jax vs. Flair at Bash in Berlin or Bad Blood could be quite entertaining.

#2. Flair could chase after the WWE Speed Women's Championship

WWE Speed is a one-match show that airs each Wednesday on X (formerly Twitter). In addition to the weekly Wednesday show, there are occasional episodes on Friday, often labeled as "Championship Friday" by the promotion. The program features three-minute-long matches where wrestlers race to win.

The first and thus far only title showcased on the program is the WWE Speed Championship. Ricochet was the first-ever champion, but the current title holder Andrade won the belt from him. Triple H recently announced a new title was on the way in the form of the Speed Women's Championship.

A tournament will be held to crown the first-ever champion beginning in September. In what could be a fun surprise, Flair could return on Speed and become the first to hold the belt, thus adding more glory to her already impressive legacy.

#1. Charlotte Flair could unite with Bayley

Bayley is another one of the all-time greats when it comes to women's wrestling. She was the first-ever Women's Grand Slam Champion in WWE, having held virtually every title available to her. The Role Model has truly lived up to her nickname, as most wrestlers would love to have a career like Bayley's.

As noted, Nia Jax became the WWE Women's Champion at SummerSlam. Her victory came at the expense of Bayley. Nia didn't win the match fairly, however, as Tiffany Stratton provided a distraction.

Charlotte could return and have Bayley's back against Nia and Tiffany. Flair and The Role Model made up half of the famed Four Horsewomen, so they have plenty of history as friends and foes.
