Five heartbreaking things WWE did at Extreme Rules
Some things hurt more than others.
It's no secret that WWE made some questionable decisions during the Extreme Rules pay per view, and some of them were very hard to watch. They were also decisions that will no doubt cause strife within the toxic part of the fanbase and spur even more anti-WWE hatred in online communities.
Interestingly enough, however, the decisions WWE made at Extreme Rules weren't that bad, but they still weren't what the fans wanted. With that being said and WWE now moving forward towards Summerslam, , here are five heartbreaking things WWE did at Extreme Rules.
As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and be sure to tell us what you think was the most heartbreaking part of the Extreme Rules pay per view.
#5 Finn Balor losing the Intercontinental Championship
WWE has a spotty record in booking Finn Balor, and that trend continued Sunday night during the kickoff show, where Nakamura destroyed him with a Kinshasa. Although the victory was seen as a way to get The Artist back on track, it leaves an already hurting Balor in an even worse spot.
Then again, maybe WWE got the title off of Balor so he can move onto another feud or maybe they want him to chase The Intercontinental title with Nakamura for a little while. Either way, hopefully, this leads to something bigger for Balor in the future and WWE stops underutilizing him.
In the end, it's not too much to ask for Balor to be taken seriously. Furthermore, it's not it's much to ask for WWE to realize the talent that they have in Finn Balor and actually utilize in a meaningful way. No more stop gap feuds or using him in one-off title matches, give this man something that will set him up to succeed!
