John Cena and Nikki Bella officially called off their engagement earlier last month after a six-year relationship, but some are now wondering if the public breakup was just a work in order to gain more viewers for the upcoming season of Total Bellas. The news comes after Cena proposed to Nikki at last year's WrestleMania following a match against The Miz and Maryse.
PW Insider is reporting that the break up might just be a way to gain attention for the upcoming season of Total Bellas and that the couple haven't actually called it quits. While that might sound strange, especially after both parties have released statements on the matter, there is a growing amount of evidence to show that it may be true.
With that being said and the possibility now up in the air to be debated by The WWE Universe, here are five things that show that Nikki and John's breakup earlier this year might just be a work in order to further their respective careers. Whether that is a bad thing or not remains up to each individual person, but here are five things that point to this being the case.

WWE has already admitted in the past that they love to blur storylines with reality in order to create a more interesting product for The WWE Universe and the breakup between Nikki Bella and John Cena could very well just be a result of that. In fact, WWE has done this before with Cena and Bella, which also points to it being a work.
John Cena and Nikki Bella even bared their entire relationship for the cameras on Total Divas Throughout several seasons and also did a storyline at WrestleMania 33 that centered on aspects of their relationship. If nothing else, this definitely has to point at the fact that WWE has done stuff like this in the past and just be doing it again for publicity.
