Forgotten tag team to reunite after 394 days and more - 3 matches Triple H can add to WWE King and Queen of the Ring

We are less than a week away from the upcoming WWE Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia, King and Queen of the Ring 2024. So far, the promotion has confirmed five big matches for the show. These include three championship matches and two finals to crown the next King and Queen of the Ring.

However, as we move closer to the upcoming PLE, there is a chance that more matches will be added to the matchcard. From exhibition matches for the pre-show to another bout with gold on the line, WWE could be planning more for the event.

Here, we look at three matches that Triple H could add to the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in the days leading up to the show.

The WWE shows in Saudi Arabia often boast a few exhibition matches on their card. While nothing has been confirmed as of this writing, the creative team could book a compelling four-way encounter between top tag teams from RAW and SmackDown. While it could be a good opportunity for all tag teams, one pairing may benefit the most.

The match would set up a perfect window to reunite Braun Strowman and Ricochet while including Judgment Day in the match, too. The Monster of all Monsters recently returned on WWE RAW where he has crossed paths with the heel faction. On the other hand, Ricochet has been struggling to find a long-term feud. The two could reunite to either work together in the tag team division or use a one-off encounter to set up an interesting new feud.

#2. Kevin Owens vs Tama Tonga

The upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown will feature the semi-final for the ongoing King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. The men's match will see Randy Orton and Tama Tonga lock horns for a spot in the finals. It is worth noting that the Solo Sikoa-run Bloodline has helped Tonga beat all his previous opponents in the tournament, and the heel faction may look to pull off a similar stint on SmackDown this week.

However, they may run into an angry Kevin Owens, who has had several issues with The Bloodline, both old and new. Tonga mainly targeted KO on the blue brand, leaving the former world champion bruised and bloodied while destroying his car. Not to forget, Tonga and Solo Sikoa defeated Kevin Owens and Randy Orton at Backlash with the help of Tonga Loa. KO could return on SmackDown to stop The Bloodline from interfering in the King of the Ring semi-final.

Owens has recently found an ally in Randy Orton, and the two superstars have been working well together. KO could pull up on the show to help The VIper advance to the King of the Ring final, where he will face Gunther. This may set up a grudge match between him and Tama Tonga for the King and Queen of the Ring, where the entire Bloodline could make its presence known.

#1. WWE Women's Championship match

The upcoming episode of SmackDown will see WWE Women's Champion Bayley in singles action on the show. She is scheduled to lock horns with Chelsea Green on the blue brand, but her title won't be on the line. However, a surprise turn of events could see this match booked for King and Queen of the Ring. Piper Niven is set to appear alongside her tag team partner, Green when she takes on Bayley.

Niven could help Green against Bayley, and a potential no-contest finish could lead to a title match. This will see Bayley put her WWE Women's Championship on the line against Green at the upcoming PLE. Considering Bayley has no concrete challenger on SmackDown, Triple H could use this opportunity to build an entertaining title feud.
