Former champion to challenge Liv Morgan at WWE Money in the Bank? Exploring her potential next opponent
This past Monday on WWE RAW, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan looked to entice Dominik Mysterio in light of Rhea Ripley's ongoing absence.
Morgan's supposed infatuation with Mysterio led to her falling on top of him at ringside during his six-man tag team match alongside Carlito and JD McDonagh against Braun Strowman and the LWO.
After Liv landed on top of Dom, she was pulled away by Zelina Vega, which then led to the two women fighting by the ring before they were pulled apart.
Liv Morgan currently does not have a challenger for Clash at the Castle this weekend and therefore seems set to defend her title at the Premium Live Event after that, Money in the Bank.
Zelina Vega would certainly be a worthwhile challenger to Liv Morgan, considering how close she came to winning the Women's World title from Rhea Ripley last year at Backlash.
Fans of Vega will also be happy to hear that she is now cleared to compete in the ring once again after having been out of in-ring action for the past couple of months.
Dave Meltzer praises Liv Morgan's current WWE persona
With Rhea Ripley currently on the sideline due to injury, the void left by the Australian desperately needed filling.
Enter Liv Morgan, who has thrived in recent months as the top female WWE star on Monday Night RAW.
One person who has been impressed with her recent work is Dave Meltzer, who lauded the latest persona of the Women's World Champion while speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio.
"She was really a star on this show. I wanna say, I’ve never seen Liv Morgan come across more like a star than she did tonight. I think with Rhea Ripley gone and Becky Lynch gone you know they really focused on her and they’re giving her this story with Dominik which is… a challenging story and she’s really pulling it off," he said.
Since defeating Becky Lynch at WWE King and Queen of the Ring in May, the 30-year-old has arguably put in the best work of her career both in and out of the ring.
