Former champion who left WWE to return at SummerSlam? Exploring potential surprise

SummerSlam is just a couple of days away and the excitement is palpable. While the WWE Universe is excited to see some of their favorite superstars in action, they will also be looking out for some surprising returns. One return the fans should definitely be keeping their eyes peeled for is that of a former champion, who has seemingly left WWE altogether.

The former champion in question is none other than Becky Lynch. The Man was last seen in WWE a few months ago when she unsuccessfully tried to take back the Women's World Championship from Liv Morgan on RAW. Following the devastating loss, Lynch's WWE contract reportedly expired. While Morgan claims she sent her into an early retirement, it might be important to note that the nine-time champion is yet to sign a new contract.

Adding more tension to the situation, Becky Lynch has been taken out of the active roster page. Nonetheless, there are expectations that she will return to WWE soon with a highly profitable deal. There are rumors suggesting that her comeback might take place at SummerSlam. This return has the potential to shock and delight WWE fans who will see The Man making a spectacular entrance, delivering an impassioned speech, and possibly participating in some fierce in-ring competition.

It would be great to see Lynch back at SummerSlam. But, at this point, this is nothing more than speculation. Only time will tell if we see The Man at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Roman Reigns is also expected to make his emphatic return at SummerSlam

Joining Becky Lynch on the long list of potential returnees at SummerSlam is Roman Reigns. The former Tribal Chief hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since his era-shifting loss at WrestleMania 40. Since then, a lot has changed, in particular, his role in the now unhinged and unpredictable faction, The Bloodline.

Since his departure, Reigns has had to sit on the sidelines and do nothing as his kingdom was torn to shreds. Now, seated on the throne is his cousin and former Enforcer, Solo Sikoa. Under Solo's reign, The Bloodline has started to spread terror not just on SmackDown, but throughout WWE. With that in mind, many expect Reigns to return at The Biggest Party of the Summer, confront his cousin, and perhaps challenge him for the seat at The Head of the Table.

That certainly would be a dream scenario, but as with Becky Lynch's case, only time will tell. One thing is for certain. SummerSlam 2024 will definitely be a night to remember.
