Former champion to quit WWE after an 11-year career due to unfortunate backstage incident? Exploring the possibility

A WWE Superstar could soon quit the company after a heated backstage incident. On this week's RAW, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston had an ugly argument, which has raised questions about their alliance's future.

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston have not been on the same page for several months. The duo hasn't been part of big storylines and consistently lost high-stakes matches. This has led to many heated moments between the former WWE Tag Team Champions. Woods' argument with Kingston on RAW could force him to reflect on the past decade and quit the company as part of a storyline.

Next week on RAW, the company will be celebrating a decade of The New Day. Woods could refuse to show up for the celebration. He might be embarrassed by his recent actions and decide to depart from the promotion.

Big E, who has been away from WWE TV for a long time, might try to convince Woods not to quit and give his alliance with The New Day another shot. However, it might not bear fruit. Given the former King of the Ring's current temperament, he might not pay heed to E's advice.

Fans could ultimately get a long-awaited heel turn, which might end The New Day and start a new chapter for Woods. The former tag team champion has been part of the company's main roster since 2013. However, he has been signed to the global juggernaut since 2010.

WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston feels The New Day is not done yet

The New Day will complete a decade since its formation next week in World Wrestling Entertainment. A group that seemingly started with low expectations is now one of the greatest factions in the industry's history. Over the past ten years, the stable has won 11 tag team titles.

While fans may feel the group has achieved everything it can, former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston feels it still has much to offer. In an interview with Metro, Kingston said:

“It’s pretty incredible to have had that level of impact on the industry. I actually sent Woods a text this morning about how appreciative I was of him, of [sic] being my tag team partner. I never lose sight of how rare and special our bond is. WWE right now is the hottest it’s been in so long. The whole anniversary, we’re really excited to celebrate it, but at the same time, we got a lot more work to do."

After a heated exchange between Woods and Kingston on RAW, The New Day's 10th-anniversary celebration will be interesting to watch next week. Fans will also be hoping to see Big E return for the special night. He has been an equal contributor to the group's success over the years.
