Former friends, an international star & more - 4 WWE stars who could join Damage CTRL on RAW
Things are heating up in the women's division on WWE RAW. Damage CTRL used to be the primary female faction in the company. Formed by Bayley, the group won numerous titles.
IYO SKY won the WWE Women's Championship after cashing in the Money in the Bank contract. Several pairings have held the Women's Tag Team titles. The group has fractured this year with Bayley toppling SKY at WrestleMania 40.
Asuka also suffered a knee injury that has kept her out for a few months. With the emergence of Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark as a trio, Damage CTRL returned as faces on the latest edition of RAW.
Dakota Kai was attacked before her match this week, leaving the group short-handed. The next four WWE stars could potentially join Damage CTRL on RAW.
#4. Zelina Vega has been targeted by Deville's trio on RAW
While she was one of the stars to battle Damage CTRL on SmackDown over the last year, Zelina Vega was also drafted to RAW this year. Vega is a part of the LWO, but the group doesn't have other female members.
Deville's new alliance has targeted everyone on RAW, including Zelina Vega. They bullied her one week and blindsided her backstage another time.
There is strength in numbers, so Vega may join Damage CTRL to even out numbers from time to time. Vega has also grown her profile in singles matches this year, and joining the fray could keep her featured on RAW.
#3. Tegan Nox has a history with Dakota Kai
When both women started in NXT, Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox joined to form Team Kick. Kai was a bubbly face with her best friend, but Nox kept getting hurt. It forced Kai to do other things, including aligning with another potential member of Damage CTRL.
When Nox returned for a WarGames match, King Kota turned on her long-time friend. It kicked off her first real heel run in WWE and has been the framework for Kai's time on the main roster.
Kai could look to an old friend for backup and try to make amends. Nox hasn't been used much lately but could be rejuvenated on RAW with a spot in Damage CTRL.
#2. Joining Damage CTRL would introduce Giulia to casual fans
As Bayley lost influence within the group, IYO SKY and Kai started to add other Japanese stars. Kairi Sane returned to WWE to assist SKY in a match against Bianca Belair.
Asuka then switched sides after battling the group for a few months. The Empress of Tomorrow is currently out with an injury, so there's a void in the group. She could return or go her own way when ready.
Giulia is slated to go to NXT, but joining Damage CTRL would be a big surprise. She'd immediately tip the scales against Deville's group. It would also allow Giulia to grow in WWE and learn the ropes while getting exposure in front of a bigger audience each week.
#1. Raquel Rodriguez
Due to an unfortunate case of MCAS, an auto-immune disorder, Raquel Rodriguez has been in and out of action over the last two years. She was riding high as a Women's Tag Team Champion but was hit with a flare-up of the disease.
The former NXT Women's Champ missed time at the end of 2023 but returned in time to qualify for the Elimination Chamber event in Perth in February. Unfortunately, she disappeared again right after the event.
Rodriguez started in NXT as a bodyguard for Dakota Kai. The duo won tag team gold, and Kai was by Raquel's side when she beat IYO SKY for the NXT Women's title. Adding a heavy hitter like Rodriguez would immediately make the group more formidable.
