Former Universal Champion's son to join WWE after his positive conversation with Triple H? Potential explored

WWE has been riding a massive wave of success for a while now. There have been multiple stars from well-known pro wrestling families and backgrounds who are carrying the promotion on their backs; the list is long and includes names such as Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, The Usos, and upcoming superstars like Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, and more.

It appears the list may soon include another name who may carry forward the legacy of his former Universal Champion father. The name in question is Gage, the son of Bill Goldberg. The 18-year-old is following in his father's footsteps, starting his career as a professional football player. Currently, he is playing for the University of Colorado.

Gage made his first appearance for the promotion in 2016 when he was just 10 years old. Since then, his transformation has been noteworthy, with him being a physical specimen just like his father.

Recently, while exclusively speaking to SportsKeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, Gage Goldberg said that he admires and loves Triple H. When asked whether he had received a call from the WWE CCO about potentially joining the promotion, the 18-year-old mentioned that the offer is always there. With Da Man set to end his illustrious in-ring career in 2025, his son could continue his legacy in the world of professional wrestling by pursuing a career in the Stamford-based promotion.

With perfect guidance and hard work, Gage could make a name for himself. However, this is speculative at this point.

Gage Goldberg reveals what his WWE legend father told him before the 57-year-old's confrontation with Gunther

Goldberg had a heated confrontation with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Bad Blood 2024. Da Man was sitting in the audience, enjoying the premium live event alongside his wife and son. Tension soon escalated after The Ring General mocked the veteran, taking personal shots at him.

Following the disrespect, the 57-year-old superstar jumped the barricade to confront the Imperium leader inside the ring. However, before Goldberg could enter the ring, security personnel stopped him. While speaking to Bill Apter in the same interview, Gage revealed that after Gunther mocked his father, he whispered in the WCW legend's ear to "kick his a**." The 18-year-old also expressed his wish to see his father punish The Ring General for crossing the limits.

"I mean, when he [Gunther] first came out, I wasn't expecting anything, and then he started saying all that, and then I'm like, 'Okay, okay,' and I started whispering to my dad. I'm like, 'You might wanna get in there and kick his a** or something like that.' But he got out there. He showed his presence for sure, too. It was just like, 'Why are you calling him out?' I don't really know. I kinda wanna see my dad kick his a** now," he said. [6:08-6:36]

At WWE Bad Blood 2024, Goldberg warned Gunther that the latter was on his radar. It remains to be seen if the Stamford-based promotion books a program between them in the coming months.
