Former Universal Champion's WWE future might be in danger following subtle hint on RAW
The Judgment Day has long been an unstoppable force in WWE. At SummerSlam 2024, the evil faction experienced a significant change when Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest were booted out of the stable. Now, it seems like we may see another departure from the group.
The latest episode of Monday Night RAW saw tensions escalate between Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor, with Dirty Dom questioning The Prince’s credibility as a main event star and reminding the 43-year-old how miserably he has failed to capture a world title in the past few years.
Considering the recent events, the former Universal Champion's future in WWE could be in danger. Here's why:
WWE has hinted at The Judgment Day’s breakup several times
Keeping the segment in mind, it looks like Triple H may have plans to remove Finn Balor from The Judgment Day. The Stamford-based company has been planting seeds of the potential breakup for a long time now, with the former Universal Champion finding it tough to coordinate with his stablemates, especially Dominik Mysterio.
Notably, Balor is one-half of the World Tag Team Champions alongside JD McDonagh. Hence, ahead of his potential departure from the heel faction, he and McDonagh would likely drop the title. Apart from potentially losing tag team gold, The Prince could lose television time on Monday Night RAW if he were to depart the faction.
Triple H has seemingly given up on Finn Balor
At SummerSlam 2024, Finn Balor backstabbed Damian Priest and cost The Archer of Infamy the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther. This led to a singles feud between the former stablemates, with Finn and Damian locking horns at Bad Blood. However, the storyline failed to connect well with fans, and the program came to an end after Balor's defeat in Atlanta.
Since then, we have not seen Finn Balor involved in any influential storyline, while Damian Priest has again climbed the ladder and is set to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.
Finn Balor has seemingly failed as a heel on RAW
Although The Demon did a fantastic job as a heel in NXT in 2019, his recent run as a bad guy on Monday Night RAW has been lackluster.
Still, it's likely that Triple H won’t turn Balor into a babyface, as WWE is already loaded with great babyface superstars. The company is currently struggling to build major heels on the main roster, and Finn's underwhelming stint might put his position on RAW in jeopardy.
