Former World Tag Team Champions to reunite after 2 years on WWE SmackDown? Return explored

WWE SmackDown is all set to move to the USA Network this week. Premiering this Friday, the excitement is high, and so are the WWE Universe's expectations. Fans are anticipating plenty of surprises, and one big one might be in store for them. After all, they could see a former pair of World Tag Team Champions reunite after two whole years.

The former World Tag Team Champions in question is RK-Bro. The team of Randy Orton and Matt Riddle were fan favorites in WWE. Together, they won the Raw Tag Team titles, now known as the World Tag Team Titles, twice. Unfortunately, the injury bug caught ahold of The Viper in 2022, and a year later, Riddle was released, bringing an end to their popular tag team.

However, Matt Riddle still holds out hope for a potential reunion, and recently he even commented about one day possibly returning to WWE. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, The Original Bro claimed that the chances of him returning to WWE are extremely high. His logic is that if a superstar like CM Punk, who once filed a lawsuit against WWE, could make a return, so can he. With that in mind, why not accelerate the process, and have him return this week on SmackDown, where he would reunite with Randy Orton?

Seeing Riddle back on SmackDown would be quite the sight. The WWE Universe would definitely go wild once he kicks his slides off during his iconic entrance. But, this is nothing more than speculation, and only time will tell if a return is on the cards.

Solo Sikoa will challenge Cody Rhodes for the title on this week's SmackDown

While the possibility of seeing Matt Riddle on SmackDown this week is small, one thing fans can definitely expect is an incredible match. After all, last week, blue brand General Manager Nick Aldis announced a huge title bout for the season premiere on the USA Network. The match in question? A Steel Cage Match between Solo Sikoa and Cody Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line.

Solo Sikoa is desperate to bring the World Title back to The Bloodline, and he came close at SummerSlam. Unfortunately for him, Roman Reigns interfered. Now, he doesn't have to worry about that, as he will be locked in a steel cage. The only problem is, he'll locked in with The American Nightmare.

Now, knowing The Street Champion, he will likely manage to get The Bloodline into the cage one way or another. But, that could lead to some unforeseen consequences for himself. Nevertheless, it is bound to be one incredible match.
