Former WrestleMania rival; A future ally? 4 WWE stars who could be Team Rhea Ripley at Survivor Series: WarGames
WWE recently released the poster for Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver. Rhea Ripley appears on the material along with two other stars who have dominated promotional material lately, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
If Mami continues her feud with Liv Morgan into the latter months of 2024, she'll likely lead a team in the WarGames structure. Last year's match featured a four-on-four showdown.
WWE could weave several feuds into the match if the teams are comprised solely of RAW stars. Morgan could recruit some backup from SmackDown to make her team more formidable. If The Eradicator fields a team, the next four WWE stars would be perfect choices to join her at WarGames.
#4. Zelina Vega has been bullied by everyone on RAW
Zelina Vega has enjoyed more of a push as a member of the LWO. While aligned with Rey Mysterio, Vega has received title shots against IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley, and Liv Morgan.
Due to the familial feud with Dominik Mysterio, anyone allied with Rey will be battling anyone running with Dominik by default. Vega fell into that void this year and challenged Morgan for the Women's World Championship.
She was cheated out of her match and has pivoted between fending off Morgan and the Pure Fusion Collective. Vega would be a good addition who could have her profile increase even more with a spot at WarGames.
#3. Lyra Valkyria crossed paths with Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley is one of the bigger women in the division. She's bodyslammed male WWE stars like Kevin Owens and Luke Gallows. If she's fielding a team for WarGames, it can't be filled with powerhouses.
Last year's match was tipped heavily in the heroes' favor when Charlotte Flair teamed with Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Shotzi. Belair and Jade Cargill shouldn't be involved this year due to the need to present both sides as equal.
Mami confronted Lyra in NXT and called her a fierce competitor. Ripley already respects Valkyria and could recruit her to her squad. Lyra also tangled with Liv when she and Becky Lynch clashed to win the vacant title. It facilitated Morgan's heel turn.
#2. Becky Lynch could make a shocking WWE return at WarGames
If WWE wants to do what it did with Randy Orton last year, then Becky Lynch could show up as the mystery final member of Team Rhea Ripley.
Morgan cheated to win the title from Lynch, thanks to help from Dominik Mysterio. Dominik also helped her retain the belt in the Steel Cage rematch.
The Man is currently unsigned but could rejoin the company at any moment. Due to her friendship with Lyra and respect for Rhea, Lynch could easily ally with her former foe to take down the villainous Liv Morgan.
#1. IYO SKY is the MVP of WarGames matches
If one female WWE star must be involved with every WarGames contest, it's IYO SKY. She set the standard for participation in NXT matches and stole the show again last year.
In the Survivor Series: Wargames 2022 match, SKY hit a Moonsault from the top of the cage which Charlotte Flair tried to match in the 2023 edition. The Genius of the Sky also flew from the top of the cage while having a trashcan covering her vision in the same match. Members of Morgan's team could take Kairi Sane out, facilitating SKY joining Ripley's side.
After a few years as heels, Damage CTRL seemingly turned face over the summer after joining RAW. SKY is one of the company's top stars and should be on Team Rhea Ripley at Survivor Series: WarGames.
