Former WWE Champion to attack Bron Breakker and replace him against Sami Zayn? Exploring potential twist in the Intercontinental title picture
WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event will witness an exciting match between Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship. This is expected to be a spectacular encounter, given both superstars' in-ring finesse. However, Breakker might suffer an unfortunate fate as a former WWE Champion could launch a blindsided attack on him, before his match at the PLE.
The name in question is Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior could injure the 26-year-old and replace him against Sami Zayn at the premium live event on July 6. The possibility arises due to the fact that the 46-year-old was seen vying for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship a few weeks ago. He competed in a match with Breakker on RAW that was supposed to have major implications.
However, the bout resulted in a no-contest due to Ludwig Kaiser's interference, following which Sheamus got involved with the former. He later participated in the Men's Money in the Bank qualification Match but to no avail. This gave Breakker the advantage and promoted him straight to the title picture.
Sheamus is now nowhere to be found on the Money in the Bank match card and has been robbed of his title shot. Thus, he could vent his frustration by attacking the former NXT Champion backstage at the upcoming spectacle. Before Breakker goes to the ring, the Irish star could take him out and replace him, thereby avenging his championship opportunity.
However, the possibility of this happening is relatively low. Nevertheless, Sheamus could get involved in the Intercontinental Championship picture following the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, to keep his dream of becoming a WWE Grand Slam Champion alive.
Sami Zayn could enter SummerSlam with multiple opponents
Sami Zayn will have to go through Bron Breakker at Money in the Bank this Saturday. While there are high chances that Zayn could somehow retain his title and enter SummerSlam as the Intercontinental Champion, however, the likes of Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser might be lurking in the shadows for a shot.
The Celtic Warrior is seemingly the next opponent for Sami Zayn, as he expressed his willingness to be a Grand Slam Champion by winning the only title that has eluded him in the promotion so far. However, his involvement could pave the way for Kaiser to get involved in the mix as the latter has been at loggerheads with the veteran.
There is also a possibility that WWE might sow the seeds of it at Money in the Bank, with the match between Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker seeing a controversial ending. This could ultimately lead to a blockbuster multi-person match for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam later this year.
