Former WWE star to return after 1,161 days as Liv Morgan's manager and attack Dominik? Exploring potential swerve
Last night on WWE RAW, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan was left heartbroken after her months of seduction attempts toward Dominik Mysterio proved unsuccessful as Dom Dom decided to side with Rhea Ripley. The Nightmare recently made her much-anticipated return to WWE TV and immediately set her sights on The Miracle Kid. Morgan and Ripley will lock horns for the Women's World Title at SummerSlam.
With Dominik Mysterio now back in Rhea Ripley's corner, Liv Morgan's chances of retaining her title at SummerSlam are fading by the day. Therefore, the reigning champion may look to bring in someone who could help her thwart the ringside presence of Dirty Dom.
One person who could make her WWE return after 1161 days and join forces with Morgan is CJ Perry (FKA Lana). The two women have shared the screen in the Stamford-based promotion in the past and are also known to be close friends in real life.
The erstwhile Lana had a memorable eight-year stint with the Sports Entertainment juggernaut between 2013 and 2021. Her last in-ring performance for the company was on the May 31, 2021, episode of RAW.
Having proven to be an effective ringside manager over the years, CJ Perry, who is currently a free agent, may make a perfect ally for Liv Morgan during the latter's reign as Women's World Champion.
CJ Perry on Liv Morgan's current WWE run
Since returning from an injury-related hiatus in January 2024, Liv Morgan has established herself as one of the biggest stars in the company, with her current storyline with Rhea Ripley being one of the most popular angles on WWE TV. The 30-year-old's character work during her ongoing "Liv Morgan Revenge Tour" has been exceptional.
During an interview with USA Today, Morgan's real-life friend, CJ Perry, hailed the reigning WWE Women's World Champion as ''an incredible worker and an incredible athlete!''
"She's [Liv Morgan] in the perfect casting. She's an incredible worker; she's an incredible athlete. At the end of the day, professional wrestling is scripted television, where we want to believe what you're doing is real, and she's the hot girl. We love her. Those are exciting stories to tell on television," she said. [H/T: USAToday]
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if Morgan manages to retain her Women's World Title at The Biggest Party of The Summer.
