Former WWE star to return as heel after 4 years & confront Uncle Howdy for abandoning him? Analyzing the chances
Bo Dallas (aka Uncle Howdy) of The Wyatt Sicks might have to deal with not one but two enemies in WWE simultaneously. Howdy is already engaged in a feud with The Final Testament. And now, a former WWE star could return to confront him.
The name in question is Dallas' former teammate, Curtis Axel. The two became RAW Tag Team Champions once when they were part of The B-Team in 2017. They also briefly worked together in The Miztourage, a faction led by WWE Superstar The Miz.
Axel was eventually released from the company in 2020 due to COVID-19 budget cuts. He was rehired as a producer in 2022 but was again released three months later. However, he might come back to take revenge on Uncle Howdy for abandoning him.
In a recent interview with Going Inside, Axel revealed that he was preparing for an in-ring return and would also be open to becoming a backstage producer if given the opportunity.
"I spent the last few years being a dad, just spending time with my three boys at home and my wife, which I haven't been able to do being on the road so much as I was with WWE at the time. I've been enjoying that. But I've been starting doing these things and started getting the itch again, and I've actually been training in the ring, taking a few bumps. So I'm slowly inching my way closer to make a return," Curtis Axel said.
While speaking about a potential backstage role, Axel said he wouldn't hesitate to return if the Stamford-based promotion called him.
Curtis Axel may return to WWE as part of The Final Testament
The Stamford-based promotion might bring back Curtis Axel as part of Karrion Kross' faction, The Final Testament. The Miz is already looking to escape Kross' clutches, and Curtis Axel might replace him in the group.
Axel might return and attack Uncle Howdy, expressing his hatred for The Wyatt Sicks leader. The two might lock horns at Royal Rumble next year. The A-Lister is slated to face Dexter Lumis from The Wyatt Sicks next week on RAW.
If The Miz loses to Lumis, he might be thrown out of the group, and Axel could come in his place. It remains to be seen whether the second-generation star will make his return after over four years in 2025.
