Sportskeed'a very own Fred Rosser, AKA Darren Young was at his insightful best on the very first episode of The Rosser Rewind.

Dropkick DiSKussions podcast host Korey Gunz asked Rosser about WWE's strong booking of the NXT brand at the recently concluded Survivor Series PPV.

Rosser, who is an NXT Original and an original member of the popular Nexus faction during the early days of NXT, opened up about his initial struggles on the yellow brand.

The former WWE Superstar reminded everyone that during his time, NXT was just a reality show with obstacle course challenges, and that he would have loved to debut on the current iteration of NXT.

Rosser went on to tease the possibility of the Nexus reuniting and returning to WWE to compete with the current crop of up-and-comers from NXT, RAW and SmackDown.

He explained how the Nexus members are now older and wiser, and going by the adage 'never say never', there is always a possibility of the faction coming back to get some redemption.

Mr. NoDaysOff also expressed his regret at being booked to lose the SummerSlam 2010 match between Team Nexus and the John Cena-led Team RAW.

He even added that Chris Jericho had tried to push for a win for Nexus backstage, which would have helped elevate new Superstars. However, as we all know, the heel stable didn't go over at SummerSlam that year.

Rosser: "Well, you know, you kind of have to look at how the original Nexus was booked. I always talk about NXT. When NXT first started, I was an original. I started NXT when we were doing obstacle courses. I can’t juggle and can’t run with the barrel. I don’t have a special hidden talent. So the NXT of old, I mean, I was terrible at, and it took me that much longer for the fans to get behind me because of my original NXT experience.
I wasn’t comfortable, I would have nightmares, I would literally have nightmares when those yellow ropes would be getting put on for TV. But now, when you look at NXT now, I wish I could have debuted like now, you know what I mean? With WWE, never say never and who knows, we can have a Nexus alliance reunion, you know what I mean, to take out NXT or to mess up RAW or SmackDown.
So you would have all these factions and divisions, you just never know in wrestling, in WWE, never say never. Because you know the Nexus alliance, the Nexus originals are older now, they’re wiser, they have got more wisdom to them, so I mean, why not? But never say never right?"

Gunz agreed with Rosser that the idea of seeing the Nexus back in this day and age would surely excite the fans as all the members are now much more mature and established.

Gunz: "Oh absolutely, I think you make a great point there seeing at the time of the Nexus formation, you guys were the new breed and the new young upstarts and now, you guys may be coming back with some wisdom underneath you and now, maybe not being looked as the fresh crop, and now coming in to take out these new guys from NXT and the guys that think that they are the new fresh faces on the scene. I think that would definitely be interesting."
Rosser: "Exactly Korey, because we’ll be coming back for redemption, because you know, we didn’t win SummerSlam, it was team RAW that beat the Nexus. And Jericho says it himself, that he went out to bat for Nexus to win but it’s just unfortunate that we were not put over in that big match for us, because that’s how you elevate stars. The other team RAW guys wouldn’t have lost their positioning, you would just help elevate guys and that’s what I do with my career now."
