What's the story?

Jeff Jarrett recently left his duties as Chief Creative Officer of Global Force Wrestling due to personal reasons. As we wonder why Jeff made this decision, one possible reason has surfaced: his erratic behaviour. This is according to a report from PW Insider who claim that the former WWE Intercontinental Champion committed a faux pas during AAA's Triplemania.

In case you didn't know...

Jeff Jarrett's return to Impact Wrestling represented a turning point for the company. Dixie Carter was out the door and new owners were welcoming a change.

Jeff Jarrett loaded his staff with some of the best minds in pro wrestling and had a lot of people backing him. He built an impressive roster with a couple of real surprises as well.

There were bound to be some hiccups when changing to a new regime, but GFW seemed to be well on their way to turning a new leaf. They started touring again and initiated a systematic television taping schedule at the Impact Arena to reduce costs.

Numerous people within the company said everyone who was backstage wanted to be there and the atmosphere was good. Then Jeff Jarrett announced he was stepping down from his duties.

The heart of the matter

Apparently, things for Jeff Jarrett weren't going as well as we would have hoped. PW Insider reports Jeff has displayed "erratic behaviour." This kind of behaviour could be the reason why he took his hiatus from GFW.

There have also been reports saying this kind of thing has been going on for several months. Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett had a large backstage argument in April with Bob Ryder which made some headlines.

But reports are the breaking point could have been Jeff Jarrett's behaviour at AAA's TripleMania. It looks like Sexy Star wasn't the only person to commit a huge faux pas at TripleMania because Jeff Jarrett tossed a cup of beer on the crowd.

What's next?

Hopefully, Jeff Jarrett can figure some things out if he's really dealing with these kinds of personal issues. Jeff has worked very hard to get where he is and GFW is his baby.

He didn't specify when he would be back, but let's hope this isn't the last we've heard of Jeff Jarrett in GFW. After all, it was also reported Jarrett would still be available as a consultant when needed.

Author's take

Jeff Jarrett has seen a lot of trials in his career and made it through every one of them. After all, sometimes the best thing you can do to make things better is simply taking a step back. Best of luck to you, Jeff, I've always been a fan — even when you were a Country Music singer.
