From the Impact Wrestling Rumour Mill: Alberto El Patron set to make a splash at Bound for Glory
What's the story?
Alberto El Patron is set to return to Impact Wrestling at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view on the fifth of November.
PWInsider reported that the creative department in Impact Wrestling has not yet decided how he is to return. They are determined to have his comeback happen in a big splash to create an impact, but the form of his return is apparently still up for debate.
In case you didn't know...
Alberto El Patron was suspended from Impact Wrestling and stripped of the GFW title after an altercation he had with Paige in the Orlando Airport. He was charged with domestic battery for the incident and Impact were bound to take disciplinary action against him.
He was cleared of all charges later and it was revealed that it may have been WWE's Paige who was to blame for what happened.
The heart of the matter
Impact Wrestling is determined for Alberto El Patron's return to be a big thing. While nothing has yet been decided on PWInsider revealed that several ideas have been pitched.
While one idea has him joining the main event of Johnny Mundo and Eli Drake to make it a Triple Threat, another one has him as the referee of the match.
They are clearly trying to make the most of his return since Impact Wrestling has not been doing well at all. Seemingly an unending source of controversy, with the latest being Jeff Jarrett's release, they are hoping to get back on track with the Bound for Glory pay-per-view.
What's next?
Bound for Glory is set to take place at the Aberdeen Pavillion in Ottawa, Ontario on the fifth of November.
Alberto El Patron will likely be involved in the main event of the show in some capacity.
Author's take
Alberto El Patron has not had the best luck after leaving WWE. Much like Impact Wrestling, he too has been mired in controversy over his rants at WWE, and his personal life.
He will hopefully be able to put that behind him and show off the skill that the fans know he possesses.
