From the WWE Humour Mill: Reason behind recent NXT call-ups revealed
Recently the WWE shook up their women's divisions on both the Monday Night RAW and the SmackDown LIVE brands when Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville laid waste to the Superstars on the red brand, and Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan took out the blue brand's female stars.
It was a shocking moment for many reasons, however one of the most shocking things was just how similar both of the debuting trios were, a fact that was not lost on the WWE Universe.
That's right folks, each team has the dark haired punk looking woman as it's leader, an ass-kicking brunette to the left and a pretty blonde to the right.
This has lead to speculation that the six women are part of a larger storyline, with the similarities being deliberate, however our anonymous sources within the WWE can exclusively reveal that the whole thing was a massive accident, and not part of an ongoing storyline.
Our backstage sources, who we can't name, for obvious reasons, have suggested that the RAW and SmackDown creative team watched on in horror as it became readily apparent that the two shows had just gone forward with exactly the same storyline, one member of the SmackDown writing staff reportedly said,
"When we saw Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville on RAW we knew something horrendous had happened, but by then it was already too late, so we had to move forward with Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan on SmackDown, we did tell them not to stand in the same order, but it seems they forgot."
A separate source within the WWE, a good mate of mine named Dave, believes that the error was caused when the plans for Paige's return on Monday Night RAW with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were accidentally emailed to the SmackDown Live team.
"The plans were a direct order from Vince everything was very precisely laid out you know, pale woman needed to front trio of wrestlers, one needs to be Trish Stratus and the other one needs to fill in for Rhonda until she's here. The SmackDown guys would have gotten those plans and thought they needed to do them, but they were meant for RAW only."
Vince McMahon is said to be furious with the mix-up, with the head of the WWE reportedly at a loss for words for how the exact same angle can make it into television for both the RAW and SmackDown brands, and is now said to be in crisis talks with the creative teams for both shows to scramble together a coherent reason for why the two trios are exactly the same on both shows.
So there you have it folks, the whole thing has been caused by a simple admin error, and isn't part of a bigger picture storyline. We'll have more on this when our anonymous sources get back to us.
In other news the WWE have reportedly ended plans to have Finn Balor face Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble under reports that the first ever WWE Universal Champion is slowly losing control of the Demon persona and WWE officals are afraid of the consequences.
