What's the story?
In an interview with TMZSports, Alberto El Patron speaks on how soon his fiancee Paige's WWE in-ring turn can take place.
In case you didn't know...
Paige, whose real name is Saraya-Jade Beavis, has been off WWE Television since July 2016 when she appeared on RAW. She was handed an initial 30-day suspension for a wellness policy violation in August 2016 and then, a 60-day suspension for her second violation of the policy.
Paige came out with the news that she had suffered a neck injury and the medicines she took for nursing it caused the violations. Since then, she has gotten engaged to Alberto El Patron. In September, she was cleared for action by WWE and began her preparations for an in-ring return at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando.
The heart of the matter
Alberto El Patron, formerly known as Alberto Del Rio in his WWE days, is on a publicity tour for MMA organization Combate Americas, where he served as President a while back. When asked about Paige's return, El Patron quipped that she will be returning pretty soon.
"It's going to happen pretty soon, I cannot give you any more details because I will get her in trouble. They told her to lay low and not to talk too much about it.
El Patron also said that her return is very close and the fans won't have to wait for long to see Paige back in action.
She's in Orlando at the moment. She's been there for the last six weeks. She's probably days away from going back to WWE and [doing] something in the ring.
What's next?
With El Patron's confirmation that Paige could be just 'days away' from returning to action, it is left to see how and when the WWE incorporates Paige into the Women's division.
