From the WWE Rumor Mill: Backstage update on Bray Wyatt's WWE future

A career reincarnated?
A career reincarnated?

What's the story?

The end of the Great War could be the beginning of some much-needed change for Bray Wyatt. As speculated by Dave Meltzer, the Eater of Worlds upon his return from his excursions in the Hardy compound.

However, there is a chance he returns in an unfamiliar role.

In case you didn't know...

Wyatt was thrown into the Lake of Reincarnation after losing the Ultimate Deletion match to Woken Matt Hardy. The former WWE Champion seems to have been written off tv as part of the angle and is in for a character overhaul if backstage word is to be believed.

The heart of the matter

While Wyatt is expected to return with a new look and character, he could be aligned with the Woken one himself going forward.

Hardy referencing Wyatt on Twitter have added fuel to the speculation and the day shouldn't be far when we see two of the most twisted worlds in WWE coexist for good.

What's next?

Wyatt could come back to WWE tv as soon as WrestleMania 34 in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. However, WWE would like to rebuild Wyatt in a comprehensive manner before reintroducing him to the fans.

The Raw after WrestleMania or any subsequent date -- possibly the Superstar Shake-up episodes, would serve as the perfect platform for the Buzzard's return.

Author's take

Even the WWE officials got bored of all the cryptic verbiage and have rightfully sanctioned a character revamp for the 30-year-old former WWE Champion.

Returning under the wing of a veteran in Hardy poses an intriguing dynamic to work with after WrestleMania 34. The time off could do wonders for the stale act of the Eater of Worlds.
