From the WWE Rumor Mill: Brock Lesnar will be a part of Survivor Series

The Beast will be back for yet another major event!
The Beast will be back for yet another major event!

What's the story?

So far, it is all merely speculation. However, odds are likely that the current WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, will return defend his title at the Survivor Series pay-per-view this year.

This is despite the fact that he seems to have taken a leave of absence, following his victory over Braun Strowman at No Mercy. We bring you No DQ's report, that points towards this conclusion.

In case you didn't know...

Even though Brock Lesnar holds the top prize on the RAW brand, he works on a part-time schedule for the company. As rumours had indicated, and as his absence over the past week proved, he will not be part of the show heading into the TLC pay-per-view, next month.

However, fans need not fret, as the Universal Championship seems likely to be defended at one of the 'Big 4' shows, this November, as we'll elucidate in the section below.

The heart of the matter

No, Lesnar has not been advertised for the Survivor Series pay-per-view, thus far. However, it seems likely, considering that he is advertised for both the RAW after TLC on 23rd October at Green Bay, WI and the 13 November episode of RAW in Atlanta, GA.

Why is that particular RAW of significance? It is the go-home show before Survivor Series, that very weekend. These appearances pretty much confirm that Lesnar is part of the Survivor Series plans, at least for now.

What's next?

In all likelihood, various sources claim that Brock Lesnar will not be a part of TLC, and instead, the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, will be in the featured program at the said pay-per-view event. Presumably against a reunited Shield, if all goes well.

Author's take

For all the liberties that Brock Lesnar takes, even he would not miss an event as big as Survivor Series. That would be absolutely criminal. For now, we can only guess who Angle's opponent will be but do take a look at this feature, for a list of likely contenders.
