From the WWE Rumor Mill: Dave Meltzer comments on potential movement during the Superstar Shake-up
What's the story?
During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that he wouldn't be surprised to see Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair switch brands during the Superstar Shake-up. He also said that The Miz could've swapped places with Jinder Mahal if he hadn't dropped the Intercontinental title.
In case you didn't know...
Earlier in 2018, there were a number of reports suggesting that Charlotte would move to Raw during the Superstar Shake-up and eventually headline WrestleMania 35 with Ronda Rousey. This scenario will likely come to fruition.
The heart of the matter
When asked for his thoughts about the Superstar Shake-up, Meltzer said:
“I can look and kind of thing well, maybe they’ll switch Alexa Bliss and Charlotte. It would make sense because anything else would make no sense but even then there are other ways to do it.
As far as other switches, I don’t know. If Miz was still champion I could have seen you know Miz and Jinder doing a switch but he’s not Champion because the whole Miztourage were beaten down in a manner making you think they’re going to the other side.
But then you have to look at the other side and figure out who was like that there. Bobby Roode did get beat in that 3-way so they could do that.”
The fact that she was chosen to end Asuka's undefeated streak is proof that Charlotte is on a collision course with Rousey and is likely to move to Raw during the Superstar Shake-up. The Miz could also move to SmackDown Live and have a long-awaited program with Daniel Bryan.
What's next?
The Superstar Shake-up will take place on the April 16th and 17th episodes of Raw and SmackDown Live.
Author's take
Despite the return of Daniel Bryan, SmackDown Live is still in need of star power. Expect the likes of Seth Rollins, Alexa Bliss and The Miz to move over to Tuesday nights.
