From the WWE Rumor Mill: Real Reason Why WWE Is Forcing This Superstar To Change Their Finisher
What’s the story?
Kairi Hojo is one of the most well-known professional wrestlers in the world today and one of the reasons she is popular is because of her ‘Elbow Drop’. However, according to reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hojo has been told she can’t use the move anymore because it belongs to Bayley.
In case you didn’t know...
Kairi is a Japanese professional wrestler who is currently wrestling with World Wonder Ring Stardom but reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggest that Hojo has recently signed a three-year contract with the WWE.
The heart of the matter
There have been reports that Kairi Hojo has been coming up with a new finisher, which many people have questioned because she is known for her brilliant execution of the ‘Elbow Drop’. You can see how she does it in the GIF below.

However, recent reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggest that the reason behind Hojo’s decision to change her finisher is because she has been told to do so. It is believed that she has been told that the move belongs to Bayley and she cannot use it anymore.
This really doesn’t make sense, mainly because Hojo has one of the best ‘Elbow Drops’ in the world of pro-wrestling since Randy Savage.
It will be interesting to see how things develop because it’s quite obvious that Hojo pulls off the move much better than Bayley does.
What’s next?
If the rumours are true, then we may have to get used to the fact that Kairi Hojo may not be performing her ‘Elbow Drop’ anymore but it will be interesting to see what new finisher she comes up with.
Still, it will be disappointing to not see her use the move anymore.
Author’s take
In all honesty, I believe that Hojo has the better claim to the ‘Elbow Drop’ than Bayley. She has been using the move longer than Bayley (Bayley first used the move at WrestleMania 33) and quite frankly she uses it better. That being said, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage is the real owner of this move.
