From The WWE Rumor Mill: Finish for No Mercy's main event still undecided

Who
How will the match between the two behemoth's end?

What's the story?

No Mercy is creeping up on us fast where Brock Strowman and Brock Lesnar are preparing to do battle. But even though some fans might think they know what's going to happen Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live it's possible WWE doesn't even know which direction they're going at this point.

In case you didn't know...

WWE is a fine-tuned machine. In order to make a big event like No Mercy work, you need to keep track of how long things on the show are going to last. Therefore you need to make a run sheet which lists the order of matches along with how long they're scheduled to run.

The heart of the matter

Bryan Alvarez noted something very interesting on Wrestling Observer Live as he called attention to the fact he was told there is something rather odd about the run sheet for the No Mercy show.

"Basically, there are two times listed for the main event. That doesn't mean they're gonna mean they're gonna do a finish and have another match. Basically, Vince hasn't decided what to do yet or he has decided but he doesn't want anyone to know."

Apparently, there are two different times listed next to the main event on the run sheet. This means the options are probably open at this point which direction they're going to go at No Mercy.

Alvarez went on to explain how Vince McMahon will probably make his decision late in the day. Of course, there's always a chance he already knows and is just being very secretive about it.

"I think that he's gonna make his decision late in the day on Sunday. So I guess maybe don't put any money on that match if you think you know what the finish is because I think that's gonna be one of those top-secret finishes style matches."

What's next

This kind of thing brings, even more, intrigue to the already amazing main event at No Mercy. It also makes it even more unsafe to bet on pro wrestling seeing how results can change at Vince McMahon's whim.

Author's take

I'll be paying close attention to No Mercy this week and I would still be watching even if it wasn't my job. But as they say, anything can happen in WWE and it looks like Vince McMahon is keeping his options open just in case he changes his mind.
