From the WWE Rumor Mill: How long haveĀ Ricochet and War Machine signed with the WWE for?
What's the story?
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has not only revealed what the starting salary for someone in NXT is, but has also revealed what the standard contract length, indicating that new starters Ricochet, War Machine, and likely the others as well will be with the WWE for a minimum of three years.
In case you didn't know...
The WWE announced the signing of Ricochet and War Machine last week, although news has emerged suggesting that War Machine's signing was in doubt due to concerns over Warbeard Hanson failing his medical.

They were joined by Candice LeRae, the real-life wife of Johnny Gargano and Mae Young Classic Competitor, as well as Rinku Singh, Kavita Devi, Shadia Bseiso, Nicholai Salchow, Kacy Catanzaro and Saurav Gurjar.
The heart of the matter
Contract lengths are always vital pieces of information, currently, everyone's keeping an eye on when Daniel Bryan's contract is due to expire, for example, to see if he actually does leave the WWE and wrestle again elsewhere.
However, the contract length for the recent newly signed WWE Superstars such as Ricochet and War Machine has been revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Ricochet and War Machine, and likely all the others, all signed three-year deals
Now, three years doesn't seem like a long time, especially if they're going to start in NXT, which means we might not even get to see them on the main roster. However, it's likely that should things go well the contracts can be renegotiated and extended.
What's next?
Not much is known about what the WWE has planned for the recruits of January 2018, but the thoughts of the WWE Universe will be looking ahead to the Royal Rumble where it's possible at least one of these Superstars will make their appearance. For now, they're just at the Performance Center.
Author's take
Regardless of what happens, or if he ends up on 205 LIVE, as people are saying derisively, we're going to get three years of Ricochet in the WWE; three years, at least! It's going to be great.
