From the WWE rumor mill: Huge match in the works for Kurt Angle at WrestleMania
What’s the story?
According to Wrestlevotes, WWE could be planning a match between Kurt Angle and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. The way in which WWE is plotting the move is unclear at the moment.
In case you did not know…
Seth Rollins has been in the WWE since 2010. He started off in the developmental territories then went up to NXT before finally making it into the main roster as part of the Shield.
During his stint in the company, Rollins has won the WWE World Heavyweight championship, US championship, the Money In the Bank and Raw Tag Team championship.
Recently, Rollins was involved in a storyline with Jason Jordan who is the storyline son of Kurt Angle.
As for Angle, the Olympic Gold Medallist returned to WWE last year and has been the Raw General Manager. Angle also wrestled at last year’s Survivor Series where he led Team RAW.
The heart of the matter
The rumor suggests that WWE could be planning a huge match for Kurt Angle at WrestleMania. As mentioned earlier, Angle and Rollins have been crossing paths lately due to the involvement of Jason Jordan with whom Rollins won the Tag Team championship.
What’s next?
The picture will become clear once we head closer to WrestleMania. With Jordan currently on the sidelines due to injury, it would make sense from WWE’s side to put Rollins in another high profile storyline.
This year’s WrestleMania will be held at the Mercedes- Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 8, 2018.
Authors take
A showdown between Kurt Angle and Seth Rollins will go down as a battle of two generations. It’s one of those matches that will appeal to the old generation fans as well as the new generation ones. If this is indeed the plan going forward, hopefully, WWE would play their cards properly rather than wasting this huge opportunity.
