From the WWE Rumor Mill: Undertaker-John Cena feud to take place on SmackDown?

The iconic feud may take place on brand blue!

What's the story?

There are a great number of rumours floating around on the internet with regard to the John Cena-Undertaker match at WrestleMania. There's one more that has surfaced thanks to WrestleVotes and Cageside Seats.

It seems like the Cena-Undertaker feud may actually take place on SmackDown Live and not RAW, heading into WrestleMania. Neither man is restricted from being on one brand and not being on the other, so this could be a real possibility, as WrestleMania approaches.

In case you didn't know...

Even though John Cena and The Undertaker are perhaps the two biggest WWE superstars that still actively compete, they've never had a match at WrestleMania. This is indeed puzzling, because both men have been a part of the company for years on end.

The Undertaker seemed to have symbolically retired after his loss to Roman Reigns last year. Since then many reports have emerged about his status, including a training video that spurred many rumors.

The heart of the matter

John Cena was convinced that his only road to WrestleMania entailed winning the Elimination Chamber match. The match was won by Roman Reigns, and Cena decided to show up on SmackDown Live and challenge for the WWE Title.

He defeated AJ Styles to qualify for a 6-Pack challenge at Fastlane. Assuming that he were to lose the match at Fastlane, Cena's program with The Undertaker will likely happen on SmackDown Live.

Why this is significant is that because most big programs usually take place on RAW. WWE may believe that RAW has firepower with Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar.

SmackDown Live has seemed like the B-show in recent months, in comparison to RAW, over the past months.

What's next?

We have to wait until Fastlane, to unfurl the next chapter in this saga. The Rey Mysterio rumors have been dashed. It seems like The Undertaker and Cena will clash at WrestleMania 34.

Author's take

Speaking simply for myself, there's simply no program I care about on SmackDown Live. I'll be glad if the rumours are true and The Undertaker and John Cena actually feud on SmackDown Live.

RAW is a star studded show, and doesn't need any more firepower, honestly.
