From the Impact Wrestling Rumor Mill: Jimmy Jacobs to play significant role in Impact Wrestling
What’s the story?
As per the reports in Cagesideseats, Jimmy Jacobs will serve as an on-screen talent and producer for Impact Wrestling.
On that note, the former WWE and ROH (Ring Of Honor) performer, who recently made his Impact Wrestling debut is set to play a significant role representing the Impact Zone.
In case you didn’t know…
Jimmy Jacobs rose to prominence by working for ROH and would later join the WWE as a writer in 2015.
The 33-year-old parted ways with the WWE earlier this year; after photos emerged of him posing alongside Bullet Club when the latter attempted to ‘invade’ RAW a while back.
The heart of the matter
Jimmy Jacobs recently made his Impact Wrestling debut at the promotion’s annual PPV Bound For Glory (BFG) on November 5th.
Apparently, Anthem Sports & Entertainment (Impact wrestling’s parent company) have big plans for Jacobs in the near future.
If one is to believe the rumblings in the professional wrestling community, Jacobs will compete inside the six-sided ring, apart from serving as a producer for the company.
What’s next?
Jimmy Jacobs presently performs for Impact Wrestling, besides wrestling for other indie promotions.
Author’s take
Jimmy Jacobs splitting from the WWE came as a bit of a shock to both fans and pundits in the business, considering the fact that his run with the organization was pretty smooth—all things considered.
Additionally, what made his departure all the more interesting; whilst it piqued the curiosity of one and all; is that Jacobs never really competed in the WWE apart from a brief stint in 2005. Rumor has it that JJ intended to return to pro-wrestling competition, hence split from the WWE.
Regardless, here’s hoping Jacobs can contribute to bringing Impact Wrestling back to its former glory.
