From the WWE Rumor Mill: Kevin Owen's documentary to air immediately after Survivor Series
What’s the story?
The documentary about Kevin Owens’ Universal Championship reign will air immediately after Survivor Series this Sunday according to a report published by SEScoops.
In case you didn’t know...
Owens won the Universal Championship back in August 2016 after Triple H betrayed Seth Rollins during a fatal 4way title match. Owens would go on to feud with Rollins and Roman Reigns for most of his title reign until he lost the belt to Goldberg at Fastlane.

Owens won the United States Championship from Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 33 and would take the championship to SmackDown after he was traded for The Miz during the Superstar Shakeup.
The heart of the matter
Owens and Sami Zayn were recently sent home during the European tour with rumours pointing towards their behaviour as a possible reason.
Many fans have wondered what their status will be going forward, but the airing of the documentary after Survivor Series might suggest that the issue they were sent home for wasn’t anything serious, but that is pure speculation.
Another possibility is that Owens may involve himself in one of the SmackDown matches, most likely the SmackDown Men’s Elimination match with Shane McMahon. Owens and Zayn have been feuding with McMahon since the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view so they may cost the SmackDown Men’s Team the match.
Both men showed their disdain for the SmackDown roster this past Tuesday when they abandoned the ring when The Shield invaded Raw and attacked The New Day and the rest of the SmackDown roster.
What’s Next?
Survivor Series will take place this Sunday, Nov. 19 and will be a four-hour pay-per-view.
Zayn and Owens have not been booked for the show, which is another major factor that fans believe will lead to former NXT Champions seeking vengeance by ruining SmackDown’s chances of victory.
Author’s Take
Owens’ reign as Universal Championship was quite controversial, so it will be interesting seeing his run with the title through the eyes of himself and the people close to him.
