From the WWE Rumour Mill: Leaked graphic confirms hotly anticipated Survivor Series match?
What’s the story?
Per an advertisement by DirectTV, the rumoured Survivor Series match between the Shield and the New Day has seemingly been confirmed.
The professional wrestling community has been abuzz ever since the renowned satellite service provider organization has been utilizing the Shield vs New Day advert to promote WWE’s upcoming PPV—
In case you didn’t know…
Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, or The Shield, are likely to compete at Survivor Series with the speculation being confirmed after news of Reigns being medically cleared broke.
Seeds for the match were planted when Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E, otherwise known as The New Day cost Rollins and Ambrose the RAW Tag Team Championships this past Monday night on RAW, thereby excluding the former duo from a potential match against SmackDown Tag Champs, the Usos.
The heart of the matter
On that note, the WWE is yet to officially confirm the upcoming showdown between the two popular stables. But, with Survivor Series beckoning, fans can expect the powers that be to provide official confirmation of the same very soon.
Until then, one of America’s most reputable satellite service providers, DirectTV, is indeed promoting the Survivor Series PPV, by advertising a match between the Shield and the New Day.
What’s next?
The WWE’s Survivor Series pay-per-view will see the best of RAW and SmackDown compete against one another, representing their respective brands. The 'Big Four' WWE event goes down at the Target Center in Houston, Texas on November 19th.
Author’s take
The WWE seems to be refraining from making this matchup official, so as to…perhaps tease the WWE Universe, to be honest! Regardless, they are doing a great job, what with the stunning twists and turns in the lead-up to Survivor Series, and the PPV seems to be a surefire hit.
