From the WWE Rumor Mill: More NXT call-ups could be imminent for SmackDown Live

Who will

Who will make the jump next?

What's the story?

Paige shocked us all when she returned to Raw on the night after Survivor Series with Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, however, new reports suggest that fans should expect more debuts coming their way.

Rumor has it that three people are backstage at SmackDown ready to make their mark on the WWE Universe.

In case you didn't know...

WWE is always looking to freshen up their television programs. Sometimes the most unpredictable moments are right under our noses. With Survivor Series in the rearview mirror and the Road To WrestleMania approaching rapidly after a Royal Rumble pit spot, who knows what WWE might have in store?

The heart of the matter

Apparently, there are some things brewing backstage at SmackDown Live. Squared Circle Sirens founder Casey Michael, who is usually very good at being reliable about this sort of thing said there are three girls backstage at SmackDown Live right now hinting about debuts.

Some people think two of those names might be Ruby Riot and Liv Morgan because PW Insider reported they were backstage at Raw. Since they weren't used on Raw, logic might dictate those two could be in line for a debut on the Blue Brand.

But the question still remains on who the third name will be as the Squared Circle Sirens founder went on to comment how he loved the fact that nobody has guessed it just yet.

Is it a former WWE Diva or Superstar? We'll have to wait and watch.

What's next?

Whatever happens on SmackDown Live, it will need to be a pretty big deal in order to top Paige's surprise on Raw.

But as WWE's neverending stories keep going around like a rushing river, it's only a matter of time before we see people like Liv Morgan and Ruby Riot on the main roster even if it doesn't happen tonight.

Author's take

Other names that popped into my head could be Nikki Bella who is celebrating her 34th birthday today. On the same subject, Brie Bella is also celebrating a birthday because that sort of thing happens when people are twins.

But Tessa Blanchard is in Australia (or at least her Instagram says she is) and Aliyah is up in Canada so those two are probably out of the picture.

But with the recent Mae Young Classic introducing plenty of amazing female talent to the WWE Universe it could be anyone from Piper Niven to Mercedes Martinez. Either way, the intrigue is certainly enough to get anyone to tune into the Blue Team's show this week to see what WWE has up their sleeves.
