What’s the story?

As reported by WrestleVotes, the WWE rewrote portions of last night’s RAW very late.

Additionally, a possible reason behind the late changes in RAW’s script have also been revealed.

In case you didn’t know…

For weeks prior to the show, the WWE heavily advertised Brock Lesnar for the post-Elimination Chamber episode of RAW (February 26th, 2018).

Regardless, Lesnar did not appear on last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW.

The heart of the matter

Brock Lesnar was initially believed to be appearing in a segment with Roman Reigns on last night’s episode of RAW, however, with Lesnar absent, Reigns went on to cut a scathing promo against ‘The Beast Incarnate; accusing the latter of whiling away his time with UFC President Dana White and disrespecting the WWE Universe.

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts opine that the WWE was forced to have portions of last night’s RAW episode rewritten “very late”—something that is said to have been caused by Lesnar not showing up at the tapings in Anaheim, California.

One ought to note that, as of this time, industry experts are divided over their take as to whether Roman Reigns’ promo on Brock Lesnar was a shoot or scripted.

What’s next?

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is set to defend his title against Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 34 which takes place in April.

The belief is that Reigns will go over Lesnar at the event, and reign as the WWE Universal Champion in the months to come.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, the WWE truly swerved fans with last night’s episode, especially given how aggressively they’d advertised Brock Lesnar specifically for the February 26th RAW tapings.

One could expect this to play a huge role in the Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns rivalry in the days to come, as ‘The Big Dog’ isn’t shy of calling a spade a spade, and has no issue in openly criticizing Lesnar for showing up once in a blue moon.
