What’s the story?
As per PWInsider, the Ultimate Deletion Match between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt was filmed on Thursday.
Apparently, the match could air on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW. Additional details on the match have also been revealed.
In case you didn’t know…
‘Woken’ Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt have engaged in a feud over the past several weeks that has been presented as a rivalry between two supernatural characters.
Matt Hardy has filmed several matches during his days in Impact Wrestling, showcasing the Broken Universe in the Hardy Family Compound. The WWE has also witnessed its fair share of showdowns featuring Bray Wyatt in the Wyatt Family Compound.
The heart of the matter
As noted by Matt Hardy earlier this week, he and Bray Wyatt were set to face-off in an Ultimate Deletion Match at the Hardy Family Compound.
Apparently, the match was shot on Thursday, March 8th, at the Hardy Family Compound in Cameron, North Carolina, with referee Shawn Bennett officiating the matchup. As of this time, it’s unclear as to which other WWE talents were called up to partake in the filming of the Ultimate Deletion Match.
Furthermore, it’s being noted that longtime TNA/Impact Wrestling executive and current WWE employee Jeremy Borash was also present at the Hardy Family Compound—contributing to the proceedings. Especially, given that he was also heavily involved in the production of the Broken Universe storyline and Hardy Compound segments in Impact Wrestling.
Experts believe that the Ultimate Deletion Match could air as early as the March 12th episode of Monday Night RAW.
What’s next?
Fans can expect the highly-anticipated matchup between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt to air on the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW (March 12th, 2018) from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
The professional wrestling community has been rife with rumours of the WWE planning on bringing the Hardy vs. Wyatt feud to a close before WrestleMania 34 takes place next month.
Author’s take
Matt Hardy has got to be one of the most innovative performers in professional wrestling today.
The man transformed his entire career with a stroke of brilliance with his portrayal of the Broken gimmick. Honestly speaking, the Ultimate Deletion Match will surely serve to help this feud reach it's peak, and perhaps even convince the WWE to let him feud with Bray Wyatt at least until WrestleMania 34.
