From The WWE Rumor Mill: Possible stipulation for AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura at Money in the Bank
What’s the story?
As per a recent rumour roundup report from Cageside Seats, Smackdown Live superstar Shinsuke Nakamura is currently expected to announce the stipulation for his next WWE Championship match on next week's edition of Smackdown Live.
In case you didn't know…
On this week's edition of Smackdown Live, both Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles once again competed against each other in one-on-one match at The O2 in London, UK, with the winner of the contest seemingly getting an opportunity to pick the stipulation for their next WWE Championship match at this year's Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
As noted, Nakamura on this occasion bested 'The Phenomenal One' via a Kinshasa, in a match which was arguably both Nakamura and Styles' best match together so far.
The heart of the matter
After failing to capture the WWE Championship on three different occasions previously, Nakamura now finally has the ball on his court, following his very recent win and first ever victory over AJ Styles in a WWE ring.
Nakamura, who is now in-charge of picking the stipulation for his next match against AJ Styles at MITB, is indeed likely to make the announcement next week on SD Live, as per confirmed by The Wrestling Observer Radio as well.
In addition, Cageside Seats have also noted that according to a previous speculation it has been apparently indicated that the upcoming WWE Championship match between Nakamura and Styles could possibly be a Last Man Standing match.
What's next?
AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will once again square-off later this month at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois as part of the 2018 Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
Author's take
At this point, Nakamura and Styles' rivalry feels like a very washed up feud and personally, I really hope that this is indeed the last time in a while we get to see both these men compete against one another in a WWE ring.
However, that being said, I also do hope for the fact that on this occasion we get to see a proper one-on-one match between the two former NJPW stars with Nakamura potentially coming out on top as the new WWE Champion.
If these men are given the adequate amount of time, then this one could very well be an instant classic!
