From the WWE Rumor Mill: Reports on Brock Lesnar's future after No Mercy match against Braun Strowman
What’s the story?
As per The Observer, the WWE’s original plans had Brock Lesnar beating Braun Strowman in their upcoming Universal Championship match at No Mercy.
However, it’s now being noted that Lesnar, regardless of whether he wins or loses against Strowman, intends to take a break from his WWE schedule after No Mercy.

Additionally, yet another sign that "The Beast" may be going on hiatus from the WWE, is being attributed to the fact that he has no scheduled dates with the WWE right now.
In case you didn’t know…
Brock Lesnar gained worldwide notoriety during his first run with the WWE in the early-2000s, and has since dabbled in MMA and American football, before returning once again to professional wrestling.
Nevertheless, Lesnar, who is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, has been working a part-time schedule for the past few years with the WWE, which in turn has garnered him a significant amount of criticism from the hardcore fans for said schedule.
The heart of the matter
The pro-wrestling community has been abuzz with rumours of Lesnar potentially parting ways with the WWE, since the Beast’s contract will expire in the months to come.
In that context, several industry experts are of the opinion that the WWE may have Braun Strowman beat Brock Lesnar for the title, and have the "Monster Among Men" go over "The Beast Incarnate".
Regardless, if one is to believe the rumour mill, WWE management’s initial plans indicate that Lesnar will defeat Strowman and successfully defend his Universal title. However, win or lose, all signs point to the retired MMA fighter stepping away from the squared circle after his match at No Mercy.
What’s next?
Brock Lesnar put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Braun Strowman at the upcoming RAW-brand exclusive No Mercy PPV which goes down at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on September 24th.
Author’s take
The WWE needs to put the biggest title on RAW on a full-time performer, and Braun Strowman is just the man for the job.
Strowman beating Lesnar would be more than believable from the perspective of the casual wrestling audience, and the WWE would finally kill two birds with one stone, or rather should I say, have the cake and eat it too.
Not only will they have a scary, dominant performer as the ruler of RAW, but also the Universal Championship represented on the show every week.
