From the WWE Rumor Mill: Seth Rollins' possible injury revealed
What’s the story?
As reported on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Seth Rollins may be dealing with a back injury.
Apparently, Rollins is working matches despite having a bad back. Besides, the possible impact of the injury has also been discussed.
In case you didn’t know…
Seth Rollins has previously suffered from serious knee injury issues—something that threatened to possibly end his career prematurely.
Nevertheless, Rollins’ journey back to the ring has been well-documented by the WWE, as the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion made a triumphant return to the ring, following which he’s been relatively safe of the injury bug.
The heart of the matter
Veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that Seth Rollins is currently dealing with a bad back.
Nevertheless, Rollins still continues to compete in WWE matches not only on television and PPVs but also at house shows.
This injury comes in hot pursuit of his Tag Team partner Jason Jordan’s potentially serious injury. Furthermore, it’s also being emphasized that as of this time, it’s unknown as to whether the Architect could miss out on in-ring competition owing to the injury in the days to come.
What’s next?
Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan recently lost their WWE RAW Tag Team Championships to The Bar (Cesaro & Sheamus).
The vast majority of professional wrestling industry experts believe that the WWE plans on having Rollins and more importantly Jordan refrain from taking too many bumps in their matches over the next few weeks; giving the duo enough time so as to heal their nagging injuries.
Author’s take
Seth Rollins has the potential to be the face of the WWE over the next 5-10 years.
However, the Shield member’s high-flying, high-risk, high reward style may be catching up to his body. Perhaps he could tone down his aerial manoeuvres a bit so as to minimize the risk of injury, especially considering that the WWE has high hopes from the Architect in the years to come.
