What's the story?

Squared Circle Sirens has their eyes on who is going into the Fargo Center ahead of the history making Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View that will see the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match take place. They've reported that several female former WWE Superstars have been spotted backstage, suggesting that might be surprise entrants in the match.

In case you didn't know...

We already had a mini-reunion of sorts when several of WWE's most iconic women took to the stage at RAW's 25th Anniversary show, including The Bella Twins, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, Torie Wilson, Trish Stratus, Jacqueline Moore, Maryse, Maria Kinellis, Terri Runnels and Lilian Garcia, but none of them announced their participation in the Rumble match.

One name was conspicuously missing however, with Lita not present at RAW's big anniversary celebration, despite being featured on the commemorative chairs that fans were given.

The heart of the matter

However, it seems like Lita wasn't included to keep her Royal Rumble entry more of a surprise as she has been reported by Squared Circle Sirens as spotted backstage with some of the women we saw on Monday Night RAW's ratings winner go-home show

We can officially confirm that former WWE Superstar, Torrie Wilson, and WWE Hall of Famer, Lita, are backstage in Philadelphia. As of now, their roles are unknown, but with the historic Royal Rumble happening tonight, anything is possible.

Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens also broke the news that the Bella Twins were backstage as well, before it was picked up by PWInsider. Michael went on to give a full list of names he could confirm were present at the venue of the Royal Rumble PPV.

What's next?

With a whole host of surprise entrants planned for the Women's Royal Rumble Match including Superstars from NXT, it's possible we could see some, or all, of the above names feature in the match.

One name we shouldn't expect to see, despite her being one of the favourites to win the whole thing, is Ronda Rousey, who for all intensive purposes still seems to be in Columbia filming as of a couple of hours ago.

Author's take

It seems like the WWE is deliberately stacking the options of potential Women's Royal Rumble Match entrants to keep the WWE Universe guessing, we'll have to wait and see who actually features
