From the WWE Rumor Mill: Shayna Baszler reportedly signs with the WWE
Fightful.com is reporting on a potential major signing to the WWE. Shayna Baszler's fellow Four Horsewomen member Jessamyn Duke said on her Twitch channel that Shayna Baszler had signed with the WWE.
Baszler dazzled the Las Vegas crowd when she took on Kairi Sane in the finals of the Mae Young Classic. Even though Baszler had the Four Horsewomen in the front row to spur her on, she was unable to defeat Sane to become the first ever winner of this women's tournament.
The 37-year old Baszler started her MMA career in 2006 with a record of 15-11. She has fought for Elite XC, Strikeforce, and the UFC.
She transitioned to wrestling in 2015, and for only being in the sport for two years, Baszler picked it up very fast. So much so that Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked her 40th in their top 50 women's wrestlers of 2016.
She currently trains with fellow MMA fighter and pro wrestling commentator Josh Barnett. Her impressive showing in the Mae Young Classic proved it was only a matter of time before she was reportedly signed by the WWE.
Baszler's WWE signing could be a precedent for all of the Four Horsewomen of the UFC ultimately joining WWE where they stand the chance to face off the WWE's Four Horsewomen at a big PPV.
