From the WWE Rumor Mill: Spoiler on which brand Asuka will be on, until WrestleMania 34

Which current WWE brand is ready for Asuka?
Which current WWE brand is ready for Asuka?

What's the story?

Asuka won the first Women's Royal Rumble in January. Because of the same, she earned herself a title shot at WrestleMania against the SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.

The question remains- which WWE brand will Asuka be on, leading up to WrestleMania, considering that she's a RAW superstar? According to Cageside Seats, Asuka will remain a RAW fixture until WrestleMania 34.

In case you didn't know...

When Asuka won the Royal Rumble, it was assumed that she would face the RAW Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss, at WrestleMania 34. However, Asuka would show up after Charlotte Flair's recent victory at WWE Fastlane and challenge the SmackDown Women's Champion to a big match.

We saw Asuka make appearances on both RAW and SmackDown Live this week. 'What will her schedule be, going forward?' is what a lot of the fans in the WWE Universe have been wondering!

The heart of the matter

The predominant rumour is that even though Asuka did show up on SmackDown Live recently, she will remain on RAW until after WrestleMania 34. One assumes that if she does win the SmackDown Women's Championship, she will but naturally, become a SmackDown Live superstar.

The idea may be to keep the two babyfaces apart until WrestleMania 34 comes around. There's very little heat for the clash at the moment, and WWE is utilizing a 'respect' angle to tell the story.

What's next?

There are various competitors on RAW against whom Asuka can have great matches until WrestleMania comes around. Her program has been set in stone, and mic segments with Charlotte Flair may just ruin her aura, because of her limited English knowledge. In due time, Charlotte and Asuka may just steal the show at WrestleMania with a 5-star match!

Author's take

I'm okay with Charlotte Flair and Asuka not interacting until WrestleMania 34. It will only make their feud seem stronger.

WWE is telling multiple stories with women this year, and this could allow the others to take centre stage.
