From the WWE Rumor Mill: Spoilers for SmackDown Live, two more NXT call-ups in the works

What’s the Story?

A report published by PWInsider is reporting a match involving the Tag Team Champions and two potential NXT call-ups scheduled for the Nov. 21 edition of SmackDown Live

In case you didn’t know...

The preview for tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live will feature the debut of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan as the Bludgeon Brothers against The Hype Bros and a confrontation between Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan.

Also announced for tonight was Charlotte defending her recently won SmackDown Women’s Championship against former champion Natalya.

The Heart of the Matter

The biggest news from PWInsider’s report suggests that there could be two more superstars to leave NXT for the main roster. Liv Morgan and Ruby Riot are two people who were backstage at Raw and that could lead to both women making a debut on SmackDown Live.

Last night saw the debuts of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville as accomplices of the returning superstar Paige. There could be a similar faction created tonight under a different woman’s leadership, but that is pure speculation.

One of The Usos is expected to take on Shelton Benjamin in singles action to continue the feud for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. A title match was scheduled between Chad Gable and Benjamin against The Usos but was ended abruptly when Jey Uso injured his leg on the taped UK episode back on Nov. 7.

What’s next?

SmackDown seems to be making this week’s episode a big show with some interesting segments and matches planned.

There was a rumour that AJ Styles would defend the WWE Championship against Jinder Mahal tonight, but nothing was officially confirmed by WWE.

Author’s take

The addition of two more women to the SmackDown roster would be great for the brand. Raw and SmackDown’s Women’s Divisions have been criticized by some for their lack of depth, so the addition of two more athletes can only be an improvement.
