Per Reddit user Belt Fan Dan—an individual who has previously broken notable news regarding WWE title belts—has taken to the social media platform so as to reveal WWE’s latest plans.
Apparently, the WWE is likely to introduce Women’s Tag Team Championships later this year. Besides, a few details about other WWE title belts in the works have also been noted.
In case you didn’t know…
The WWE previously featured Women’s Tag Team Championships—with The Bella Twins notably lobbying for the WWE to reinstate the Women’s Tag Team division back in 2012.
The WWF Women’s Tag Team Championships were featured by the promotion from 1983 to 1989.
The heart of the matter
Apparently, the WWE plans on introducing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles around this year’s SummerSlam PPV.
Additionally, the WWE has finalized the NXT North American Championship—Something that was initially set to be promoted as a TV Championship on NXT, themed on Dusty Rhodes being a TV Champion; however was changed to the former name, since WWE boss Vince McMahon isn’t too high on television titles.
Besides, it was also noted that the WWE plans on having the NXT North American title belt sport a classic look.
Furthermore, the WWE is also rumored to have plans so as to change the design of the current Cruiserweight title belt.

This year’s SummerSlam PPV will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 19th.
