Ronda Rousey may have to face the wrath of The Authority

What’s the story?

Per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Nia Jax could be heading toward a heel turn very soon.

Apparently, Jax is likely to turn heel against Ronda Rousey. Besides, the involvement of Stephanie McMahon in the equation has also been discussed.

In case you didn’t know…

Ronda Rousey’s first feud in the WWE, saw her team up with Kurt Angle to take on Stephanie McMahon & Triple H.

In what was Rousey’s first official WWE match, the Rowdy One and Angle defeated Stephanie & Triple H in a Mixed Tag Team matchup at WrestleMania 34 last month.

Stephanie was subsequently attacked on RAW by Rousey, and the former has been off-screen over the past few weeks.

The heart of the matter

Meanwhile, Nia Jax recently turned face after a long run as a heel—defeating Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34.

Jax recently issued a challenge to Ronda Rousey—offering the latter a shot at her RAW Women’s Championship. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now asserts that WWE could likely use Jax as a pawn to help Stephanie McMahon continue her feud with Rousey.

The belief is that Jax could turn heel against Rousey, and help Stephanie exact revenge on Rousey.

Furthermore, it’s being emphasized that the RAW Women’s Championship Match between Jax and Rousey could have a finish that sees Rousey cheated out of the opportunity of winning the title.

What’s next?

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax defends her title against Ronda Rousey at WWE’s Money In The Bank PPV on June 17th.

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Jax is likely to turn heel on Rousey, and join Stephanie McMahon—following which McMahon will continue her rivalry against Rousey.

Author’s take

Truth be told—the WWE seem to be hitting all the right notes with Ronda Rousey on RAW.

Rousey is neither overused nor underutilized on WWE programming, which in turn has served to pique considerable fan-interest in the former UFC Champion.

Here’s hoping Nia Jax joins The Authority, and helps “The Billionaire Princess” Stephanie McMahon avenge her WrestleMania loss to Rousey.
