From the WWE Rumour Mill: Big update on The Ultimate Deletion

Here is some insider information about the match!
Here is some insider information about the match!

What's the story?

Last week, Woken Matt Hardy invited Bray Wyatt to step into the Hardy compound for the Ultimate Deletion. It was then assumed that this match would take place at WrestleMania 34.

It turns out that this match will instead take place on a forthcoming episode of RAW, according to a tease on the official Raw preview. The date and time should be announced as recently as RAW this week.

In case you didn't know...

Matt Hardy reinvented himself at the tail end of his TNA run as 'Broken' Matt Hardy. He reverted to regular Matt Hardy when he returned to WWE at WrestleMania 33, even though he teased aspects of the 'Broken' Universe on various occasions.

He was finally 'woken' during his feud with Bray Wyatt, the consumer of terrestrial entities. The two men are set to collide in a very familiar environment for 'Broken Universe' fans but in a completely new setting, as far as WWE fans are concerned.

The heart of the matter

We'd brought you a report recently stating that The Ultimate Deletion was filmed earlier this week. Rumours indicate that Jeremy Borash from Impact Wrestling, who's a recent hire for WWE and had been an integral part of filming the 'Broken' series was also part of the shoot.

However, a spectacle as grand and majestic as the Ultimate Deletion will be shown on RAW, instead of WrestleMania as was first believed. It is not known what the WrestleMania plans for both of these talented superstars are.

What's next?

Expect Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt to make things interesting, leading into this unique match. Both are creative minds and unique characters, and RAW should be quite interesting. It is being speculated that Hardy will announce the date and time for The Ultimate Deletion on RAW.

Author's take

I don't really care where the match happens. I just hope that they do it well and that it helps in reviving interest in both these unique characters.

As a fan of the 'Broken' series, I can't wait to find out how this match pans out.
