From the WWE Rumour Mill: Former NXT and WWE Superstar teases return
What's the story?
Popular former WWE Superstar Adam Rose has hinted on his Instagram that a return to the company he left in 2016 may be on the cards. Raymond Leppan, who appeared as both Leo Kruger and Adam Rose in the WWE stated that there was big news coming, tagging both WWE and NXT in his post.
In case you didn't know...
Raymond Leppan enjoyed successful spells in WWE, first in FCW and NXT as Leo Kruger, and then on the main roster as the memorable Adam Rose (alongside The Bunny and his entourage, The Rosebuds.) However, he incurred several Wellness Policy Violations and was released in May 2016 under cloud of domestic abuse allegations but may be on his way back if his Instagram is anything to go by.
The heart of the matter
At thistage, the Instagram post is all we have to go on, but it could be an indication that Adam Rose has been forgiven by the WWE for his past indiscretions and is returning to the company in a similar way to how Drew McIntyre returned.
Judging from the #WWE and #NXT tags it looks like Rose could literally be following in McIntyre's footsteps as someone who was on the main roster before leaving the company, returning to NXT to re-establish themselves.
What's next?
The NXT brand has a huge weekend coming up just before Survivor Series with the latest pay-per-view NXT TakeOver: WarGames featuring some huge matches, including the return of the titular match stipulation. That would seem like as good a place as any to redebut Adam Rose to the biggest audience possible.
Author's take
I preferred Adam Rose when he was Leo Kruger on NXT, the 'Russell Brand' gimmick didn't really work for me as much as the badass hunter gimmick. However, sadly, it looks like Adam Rose will be returning not Kruger, if indeed he returns at all.
