From the WWE Rumour Mill: Nia Jax's expected WWE return
What's the story?
You really can't ever tell what is going to happen in WWE. After all, it's the weekly cycle of unexpectedness that keeps us coming back for more. But when Nia Jax walked out before Raw on October 9, it surprised a few people.
There were reports saying Jax left for a number of reasons but PWInsider reported when the fans should expect to see her again.
In case you didn't know...
Nia Jax is The Rock's cousin. There were rumours floating around which stated that she actually called her famous Hollywood juggernaut of a relative and he told her to walk out. Some reports said that Jax was upset about her pay or WWE's creative direction, however, Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that those reports are false.
It turns out that Nia Jax just needed to take a great and "reset" as Alexa Bliss put it when she was asked about her real-life best friend's absence from WWE.
The heart of the matter
It looks like fans should be expecting to see "The Girl Who's Not Like Most Girls" sooner than they thought as PWInsider is reporting Nia Jax is set for an in-ring return on the October 30th edition of Raw.
It was reported that she was dealing with some nagging back issues during her much-needed time away from the ring.
It will be interesting to see how WWE books Nia Jax with Survivor Series on the horizon. It's interesting that she's only been out for less than a month, but Jax has missed a lot including the debut of Asuka and the release of Emma.
What's next?
Nia Jax is expected to get back to destroying her opponents in the ring soon. She might have a target set on Raw's top female title but it's up to WWE on whether they're going to pop on a feud between Jax and Alexa Bliss just yet.
After all, Bliss has Natalya to worry about at Survivor Series but this feud is also plausible as they roll into the Royal Rumble.
Author's take
Let's hope that Nia Jax only left because she had some lingering injuries she needed to take care of. After a nice rest at home, it would be nice to see her get back to action. Let's just hope she doesn't have to take many more of these 'resets' because her character's momentum could really suffer if she made this a more commonplace event.
